Supply Chain Operations Coordinator (Entry-level)

Our client is a small but fast-growing consumer products company that manufactures accessories for the automotive industry. They sell product into big-box retail chains, specialty retail chains and via retail/e-commerce. Working with QA/QC, Logistics/Transportations, and other Cross Functional Teams, the Operations Coordinator will be responsible for managing timeline and day-to-day follow-ups on open programs.

- Track production and fulfillment status on open orders
- Manage, follow up and record quote forms from the factories
- Assist with sourcing activities such as researching country assessment and perform the initial search for new factories
- Record the factory profiles and update the factory tracker
- Manage factory contract and Vendor Agreement, enforce guidelines stated in Vendor Requirements Manual, and onboard new factories / suppliers
- Maintain and enforce the chargeback program outlined in the Vendor Requirements Manual
- Manage the communications between the domestic packaging suppliers for quoting, structural samples, and packaging orders
- Assist with researching regulations to ensure product compliant with local and federal regulations
- Follow up on testing process, coordinate test samples with the factory, and file reports once approved by QA/QC
- Work with QA to follow up on audits and inspections status to ensure factories perform audits and inspections on time to meet the ship date
- Review and coordinate with third party for translating, and approving instruction manuals for all products
- Create and update product sewn-in, packaging, and warning labels under QA’s guidance
- Inspect production samples and received goods and reporting out Finished Good and sample inspections
- Assist QA with managing and reviewing the completion, accuracy and quality of information of product specification sheets and technical files provided by the vendor for all products under development
- Prepare customer samples or golden sample for third party compliance partner. Generate sample labels for items shipped to customers
- Organize and file soft copies of customers’ requirements, quality assurance documents, final checklists, and instruction manuals
- Manage and report out vendor performance and competency metrics using compliance scorecards based on % failures and defectives
- Request, collect and record BoM & Specs upon QA/Product Development approval
- Follow up on Corrective Action Plans (5-C's process)
- Request and document container inspection reports, documents required for logistics before cargo departs at origin
- Monitor and report out shipment status during transit from origin to final destination, which includes ocean, rail, and land transportations
- Assist Logistics with freight cost quoting, maintain monthly / quarterly rates and report out to update quote forms and margin sheets
- Prepare all shipping documents (e.g. commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin)
- Provide factories the appropriate markings for inner cartons / master cartons / pallets (this includes ordering labels from 3rd party)
- Verify inner carton, master carton, pallet, and load dimensions and weight from factory information. Analyze the discrepancies between factory submitted information against actual. Maintaining a database of accurate dims & weight
- Perform other tasks assigned by Operations Manager

- Bachelor's Degree in business related concentration or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience required
