About Our Client
This is a company that has strong ties to the Boston, MA area and has local manufacturing operations.

Job Description
The MRO Purchasing Specialist will have a focus to ensure that purchases at a local manufacturing site follow all purchase guidelines set by the corporate HQ.

Core Duties: .
- Source materials for best pricing by requesting multiple quotes from vendors.
- Source new vendors with the goal of reaching cost reduction initiatives.
- Negotiate terms with vendors
- Generate purchase orders (POs) with appropriate terms and conditions.
- Follow up with vendors on orders placed; and work with the Inventory Coordinator
- Monitor supplier / vendor performance to ensure quality
- Oversee the maintenance of necessary records (warranties, specifications, detailed drawings as needed).
- Lead and Audit Stockroom personnel (Parts Coordinator, Inventory Clerk) to coordinate purchasing and inventory activities, follow up on assignments.
- Generate weekly maintenance purchasing report detailing daily, weekly and monthly expenditures, number of PO's generated or in process, current status of parts delivery and overall spending.

The Successful Applicant
The MRO Purchasing Specialist must have the following:
- 2+ years procurement experience in Purchasing including maintenance, repair and operations.
- Engineering Bachelor's Degree or related.
- New and spare parts for manufacturing equipment and mechanical managing inventory.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Microsoft Office
