Job Description
Responsible for identifying, formulating, and implementing strategic contracts for CROs at the local, regional, and global level with a focus on clinical central lab services. Provides project management and project leadership for assigned sourcing projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identifies, formulates and implements strategic contracts, primarily at the global, local, and regional level.
- Identifies potential sources of supply, solicits pricing, analyzes competitive proposals
- Ordering goods & services in accordance with strategic contracts, policies and procedures
- Creates effective purchase orders/contracts, limiting potential exposure, liability and risks while maximizing benefit to the company.
- Clearly define requirements, set milestones and all relative business conditions.
- Monitors vendor performance to purchase orders and contracts.
- Project Management / Leader for assigned regional or global initiatives.
- Work with departments at the global, local, and regional level (as required) to assist in the development of specifications
- Develop and implement cost savings strategies for commodity spending on a global, local, and regional level

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration or Economics or related field.
- Hands on experience negotiating higher dollar values, complex projects and contracts including central lab services and clinical trial
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry strongly preferred
- Knowledge of the global CRO market for clinical trial services preferred
