Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Manager, Demand Planning who will be responsible for providing leadership in leading and managing the demand forecasting process for the Americas division, as well as leading the development and transformation of S&OP processes. The Senior Manager, Demand Planning will be the change management lead for the monthly S&OP volume consensus process to influenc and evolve the demand forecasting process. Day to day responsibilities include the following:
- Drive alignment with senior cross-functional leaders in sales, marketing, and finance, to achieve world class forecast accuracy and metrics which support a coorcinated service level and inventory strategy
- Support development of annual operating plan
- Coordinate resolution of day to day challenges related to demand and supply discripancies and plays the lead role in ensuring there is an effective process
- Manage a team of 2-3 direct reports to oversee and drive team facilitation of the monthly volume consensus process including creation of rolling 18-24 month consensus demand plan and gaining alignment with senior leaders in the America business
- Understand seasonal timelines and flow strategies
- Translate between sales and supply planning to ensure the proper quantity of product is available to maximize sales profitability and customer expectations
- Validate forecast against prior history, current trends and other available analyses to recommend adjustments as needed
- Monthly and seasonally partnering with Sales team to analyze product trends; develop recommendations for in season inventory adjustments, re-forecasting sales and next season assortment changes
- Develop, maintain and deliver clear and concise monthly communication which conveys the most relevant business context to many different levels of the organization
- Lead and participate in weekly and monthly S&OP process
- Active role in creating new demand processes with Director of Supply Chain and continually review current and new processes to improve inefficiencies.

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of demand planning and forecasting experience within a consumer packaged goods environment
- People management experience a must
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strategic Thinking with ability to establish the vision and future direction to enable the company to maintain a leadership role in the industry
- Team player with ability to influence
