VP of Supply Chain

We are currently working with an organization that is a key supplier to consumer-packaged goods companies around the globe. With well over 20,000 employees globally, they have a #1 market share in ALL geographies in which they operate. In fact, over the past 12 months, they have generated a return on equity of over 40%, while the rest of the industry is averaging 18%, and their net income is predicted to more than double, from $190M to $470M over the next two years.

As they continue to expand, they are looking for a VP of Supply Chain to help take the supply chain across North America, Latin America, Central America and South America to the next level.

Scope of Responsibility:

  • Assess and optimize the current logistics plan and global transportation network across the Americas;
  • Drive logistics supplier and carrier negotiations;
  • Move beyond traditional forecasting and inventory planning to a best-in-class S&OP process;
  • Direct the procurement function for materials, equipment and products to ensure uninterrupted supplies at optimum cost;
  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership for customer service programs;
  • Continuously identify opportunities for improvement throughout supply chain and operations.

Background Required:

  • Highly energetic, self-directed individual with at least 12-15 years’ supply chain experience including planning, inventory management, transportation and logistics;
  • Experience with high volume supply chains;
  • Effective use of Tier-1 planning applications (i.e. SAP APO, Manugistics, Demantra, i2, Logility, etc.) and MS Excel;
  • Bachelor’s Degree required;
  • Proven track record of success in developing teams and future pipeline of talent.

Compensation Plan:

  • Commensurate with experience;
