Innovation Sourcing Project Manager

Company: Nike Inc.
Contract: PERM
Location: Beaverton, Oregon, United States

Become a Part of the NIKE, Inc. Team

NIKE, Inc. does more than outfit the world's best athletes. It is a place to explore potential, obliterate boundaries and push out the edges of what can be. The company looks for people who can grow, think, dream and create. Its culture thrives by embracing diversity and rewarding imagination. The brand seeks achievers, leaders and visionaries. At Nike, it’s about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly evolving game.

Nike, Inc. Product Development is key to making next-level products. The first spark of an idea puts the team in motion, ultimately transforming a designer’s sketch into a commercially viable product. The teams of developers, testers, engineers and designers collaborate on refining each product’s construction, fit and style. Using advancements in technology and sustainable design, the Product Development teams accelerate innovation while reflecting the soul of sport.

As our Innovation Sourcing Project Manager, you’ll play a critical role in bringing some of the company’s most exciting footwear products to life. It’s a big job, but you’ll have a big team working with you: you’ll collaborate closely with Innovation team, Global Sourcing’s internal teams, the Innovation Transition team, Global Demand Supply Management teams, Direct Procurement team, Categories, Nike’s Liaison Offices, and our factory and material vendors.

You’ll be accountable for ensuring that our source, capacity, supply and material plans are aligned to support the smooth start-up of Innovation product production. You will work to stabilize and constantly improve key sourcing and planning processes across Nike and with our manufacturing partners to support bringing Innovation projects to scale. And most importantly, your efforts will drive to delivering our newest products to the market in-full and on-time.

Joining our Innovation Sourcing team means you can adjust to change well and deliver even better plans when change happens. You'll create and execute seasonal sourcing and supply plans for innovation products that match manufacturing capacity with changing demand plans. You’ll also develop supply chain plans that consider the addition of new manufacturing technologies, the capital required to support those additions, as well as non-standard lead times for materials and production.

If you’ve been looking to get closer to our latest innovative footwear product and have wanted to be part of the story, you’ll want to take a look. If you have a passion for sourcing and planning, understand how to ‘connect the dots’, can bring people to work together and have a drive to constantly improve and learn, we want to hear from you.

Requirements for the position include:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
• 5+ years’ work experience in a supply chain related environment with emphasis on Sourcing and/or Supply Planning
• 2 year’s additional relevant work experience in lieu of degree
• Comprehensive Supply Chain knowledge including awareness of processes and events from product concept through to delivery
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and a strong sense of self-motivation
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and able to make decisions without perfect information
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent selling and negotiating skills
• Familiarity with Nike Footwear Sourcing and Planning database systems, tools and reports desired
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including overseas travel

NIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it. Nike offers a generous total rewards package, casual work environment, a diverse and inclusive culture, and an electric atmosphere for professional development. NIKE, Inc. is committed to employing a diverse workforce. Qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, veteran status, or disability.
