Job Description

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for leading sourcing initiatives to optimize spend in the Technology Software and Services category. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will have the following day to day responsibilities:

  • Provide sourcing category expertise for Technology Software and Services including outsourcing
  • Support creation of category strategies through analysis and spend data, supply market dynamics, category intelligence and business requirements
  • Identify cost savings opportunities beyond sourcing, such as demand management, process improvements, insource vs. outsource, innovations, etc.
  • Monitor the market for category leading practices and demand/supply shifts such as supply consolidations and innovations
  • Execute strategic souring projects utilizing best practice sourcing methodology to deliver value in partnership with key stakeholders
  • Ensure sourcing solutions meet business needs by collecting stakeholder and subject matter expertise and market intelligence
  • Analyze supplier proposals and facilitate fact bases supplier selections process to assess capabilities and identify new suppliers
  • Analyze and summarize RFP responses and results and prepare recommendations for Senior Management
  • Develops negotiation strategy and leads negotiations to maximize total value and minimize risks
  • Establish contract terms and conditions and coordinate with legal to execute contracts with suppliers that optimize the relationship
  • Work with suppliers and key stakeholders to manage supplier performance and develop new capabilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and third party providers
  • Implement and drive procurement strategy, policies and procedures
  • Support value generations sourcing and process improvement initiatives to optimize third party spend across Technology Software and Services Category
  • Leverage spend analytics to identify consolidation opportunities

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, logistics or related field
  • 5+ years of experience leading strategic sourcing and operational value generating initiatives
  • Deep knowledge and expertise of technology software and services category
  • Strong strategic, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills to act as an effective change agent
  • Track record of delivering results in a complex global corporate environment
  • Vision and implementation skills to drive spend management excellence
  • Demonstrated analytical, financial, problem solving, organization, and project management skills
