Job Description

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • At least 2 years of prior relevant work experience in logistics/ supply chain/ operations.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Ability to independently develop working processes and operating procedures
  • Must have proficiency in Excel and all Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Should be an innately passionate, high-energy, flexible, resourceful, self-starting and multi-tasking individual
  • Must demonstrate sound decision-making and ability to react quickly under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity
  • Consistently deliver high-quality finished work
  • Must possess strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organizational and follow through skills in both planning and execution
  • Possess sense of urgency to meet or exceed all given deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate or work autonomously, as appropriate

The Successful Applicant

  • Oversee production and logistics around all Direct/Ex-Works orders
  • Interact daily with overseas offices and suppliers to follow up on open purchase orders and to gather necessary documents for inbound freight
  • Execute and distribute all documentation for Purchase Orders exiting factory
  • Liaise with freight forwarders to coordinate optimal freight consolidation and shipment status.
  • Track shipments to understand inbound delivery schedule and communicate schedule or delays to all relevant departments
  • Maintain current and accurate purchasing and inventory data within ERP.
  • Problem solve through issues that may arise (out of stock, inbound freight delays, customs/FDA holds, customer orders, production issues, etc.)
  • Communicate priorities for production to overseas headquarter
  • Work closely with Supply Chain Planner on forecasted sales to ensure accurate inventory plans
  • Review forecast updates and question areas of concern
  • Expedite, defer, or cancel Purchase Orders based upon weekly forecast changes as well as monthly review
  • Communicate with overseas headquarter regarding pricing, samples, quality testing and production progress
  • Work with all regulatory and testing organizations to ensure product complies with all aspects of the customer and global requirements
  • Carrying out certain basic administrative tasks (Data input, completing paperwork and item set-ups, and filing documents)
