As a Sourcing Lead you will help build the future of Nike’s Apparel and Equipment sourcing strategy. For your assigned product classifications and suppliers, you will help shape long-term strategy with key stakeholders across Manufacturing and Product Creation. Strategy may include key capability needs, growth targets, product mix, and regional strategies. From an operational lens, you will also participate in regular Demand to Supply reviews and be responsible for your classification portfolio needs and supplier utilization.

As a Sourcing Lead, you will have the opportunity to lead key initiatives and projects that provide visibility and coordination across all levels of the sourcing and manufacturing organization. You will be able to apply project management skills, storytelling and enterprise-wide thinking with cross-functional partners to plan and complete initiative deliverables.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Create and execute long-range and seasonal sourcing strategy for assigned Classifications and Suppliers with support of Sourcing Director
  • Help lead the creation and execution of key Sourcing initiatives and projects, requiring significant project management expertise and collaboration across teams
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing teams to select the most appropriate manufacturing sources to meet Nike Inc.’s product sourcing needs across multiple criteria. 
  • Represent Sourcing in cross-functional meetings with different internal departments. Represents individual product classification or category needs in the context of the enterprise sourcing strategy 
  • Have or build knowledge on Nike’s Tier 2 supply base and be able to account for material strategy connection with garment strategy 
  • Communicate consistently and proactively within Sourcing as well as to cross-functional partners where relevant
  • Create strong relationships with key Sourcing strategy stakeholders such as the Partner Managers, DSM and the Categories
  • Proactively identify and solve a range of opportunities/challenges proactively and communicates those within the team(s)

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years directly relevant work experience.
  • Project Management acumen
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to tailor communication to the audience and situation and build trust with key stakeholders
  • Able to diagnose problems and suggest solutions as well as think across broad time horizons and support future company vision.
  • Knowledge of apparel and equipment product and/or manufacturing processes
  • Data analysis and reporting experience
