Description

As a Warehouse/Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, you will supervise your team and plan the work of your employees, focusing on daily activities with a short term focus. You’ll help coach the staff and support their development while assisting you team in meeting their goal. You’ll provide significant input into hiring decisions, performance management, recognition, and awards. In addition to completing employee follow-ups, you’ll conduct Method and procedure audits. You’ll proactively communicate to manager and peers on status of workflow throughout the day and ensure successful daily hand-off between shifts is conducted.

 

The following shift is available:

  • Friday - Monday: 8:30 am - 7:30 pm


Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in related discipline
  • 2+ years' directly relevant work experience
  • 4+ years' Customer Service/Logistics/Operational experience
  • Ability to build, coach and monitor a team
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Understanding of customer service values and behaviors
  • Strong command of English language
  • Verbal and written communication skills required
  • Computer skills: MS Word, Windows, Excel, Power Point
Physical Requirements:
  • May be required to perform a wide variety of physical tasks which are generally basic, repetitive, and routine in nature
  • May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time, in addition to being required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, or pull
  • May be frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel small and medium sized components while operating machinery and exerting force or lift up to 50 pounds
  • May be called upon to perform physical and quality checks requiring sufficient visual acuity to identify quality flaws and distinguish colors on small components
  • May be required to work with toxic or caustic chemicals, and be exposed to fumes or airborne particles
  • May be required to work with or near large machinery and moving mechanical parts so they may be subject to higher noise levels, vibration, and there may be a risk of electrical shock
