Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Drive assurance of supply by focusing on quality, delivery, risk and cost, from the MRI medical product Supplybase.  You will identify supplier projects, develop business cases and lead or contribute to supplier-focused projects.  You will also enable advanced development by identifying supplier technical capabilities that will enable the next generation of products.  

You are responsible for

  • Executing supplier improvement projects focused on assurance of supply and total cost of ownership.
  • Representing Procurement in new product development and ensure early supplier involvement by identifying relevant supplier technologies and leading supplier selection process.
  • Identifying supplier manufacturability issues by collaborating with suppliers and implementing feedback with Engineering.
  • Resolving procurement related escalations by collaborating with suppliers to identify solutions.
  • Executing quality management system requirements for procurement
  • Providing input to the Commodity teams regarding the supply base characteristics, based on business requirements.

You are a part of

The Patient Care and Monitoring Solutions Business Group and Medical Consumables and Sensors Business Unit, which  is encompassing patient monitoring and therapy. Our advanced intelligence platforms provide clinicians with the information when and where they need it so that they can make smart decisions. Our ultimate priority is to enable caregivers, administrators and patients to make decisions that support better health, increase efficiency and control costs.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and 5 + years relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, design for manufacturability and GD&T
  • 5 + years of experience leading supplier improvement projects
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Experience applying SPC (Statistical Process Control) with suppliers
  • Experience in new product development or closely supporting NPD teams in a procurement role
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (preferred)
  • Strong organization, planning and communication skills required
