About Our Client

Our client is a niche manufacturer with a strong customer base. This organization is a well-respected, successful player within their space with a strong track record of success. On the back of recent growth and customer acquisition, our client is looking to bring on a well rounded Supply Planner to their existing team.

Job Description

The Supply Planner will be responsible for, but not be limited to the following:

  • Development and execution of strategies through the strategic sourcing process
  • Serve as an expert in the strategic sourcing process within the different parts categories including strategy execution, contract negotiations and TCO reductions
  • Manage and maintain proper inventory levels to reduce carrying costs and eliminate out of stock situations
  • Develop and execute the process to select and manage suppliers
  • Lead supplier selection and negotiation process for key sourcing projects
  • Establish and maintain contractual and business relationships with the senior management of key suppliers
  • Track forecaster vs. actual savings for sourced categories and responsible for communicating performance against these measures and their potential budgetary impact

The Successful Applicant

An ideal Supply Planner will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field or 4+ years of buying/planning experience.
  • Experience purchasing products in both a manufacturing environment and sourcing component & finished goods preferred.
  • Exemplary negotiation skills in a robust corporate environment.

What's on Offer
