Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to:

Lead the Supply Chain activities for the MA&TC Technology Solutions business (also known as Value Add Services).

You are responsible for:

  • Works collaboratively with Technology Solutions (TS) management team to define and execute supply chain initiatives aligned with overall business objectives while leveraging Philips’ vertical business functions within MA & TC BU, key markets and corporate Philips.
  • Defines the supply chain strategy for this business ensuring alignment with Philips’ supply chain processes and direction
  • Manages key suppliers to meet TS assurance of supply goals.
  • Works closely with key markets to ensure physical distribution programs are meeting end customer needs (e.g. direct ship from key suppliers)
  • Execute sales and operation planning (S&OP) activities with TS, working with suppliers on demand/supply matching, giving consideration to inventory levels as well as on time delivery goals.
  • Works closely with key Markets on key initiatives to improve performance and customer experience
  • Collaborates with Product Marketing, R&D and Service in managing NPI and product obsolescence process.
  • Identifies and monitors SC key performance indicators for TS and drives appropriate corrective actions (e.g. COTS, DEFOA, operational cost) when not meeting targeted goals.
  • Ensures  data management alignment of TS product structures with EIM teams in TS and key markets
  • Drives improvement projects and programs in targeted areas to improve performance or expand service offerings (e.g. contract manufacturer setup, SC for new product category, selling into new geographic region or country).
  • Ensures appropriate intra-company agreements are in place (e.g. ICQA) so roles and responsibilities are clearly delineated and regulatory compliance and financial  standards are maintained
  • Manages cost envelope for supply chain function

You are a part of:

Position reports directly to MA & TC Head of Supply Chain and dotted line to Lead for Product Management for TS.

This role will initially be based in our Andover office. Philips will be relocating this office to a new site at Cambridge Crossing, a large development underway on the Cambridge-Somerville-Boston line. This is a very exciting time to be joining Philips, as this new location will be our largest North American R&D innovation center. The new office is set to open in early 2020.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor/Master of Science degree in a technical or business field. MBA preferred.
  • Sales & Operations Planning experience is preferred but not required
  • Experience working with suppliers on operational management
  • Experience in working with Markets and/or customers
  • Ability to effectively manage or participate in project teams
  • Ability to think strategically while executing operationally
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional/business/market teams
