Description
As our Sr. Director Trade & Customs you will contribute to Nike's growth by partnering to strengthen the strategic agenda for trade & customs, nurture the development of Nike customs processes & solutions globally with Geo Leadership, and align Nike leadership with plans & priorities.

You will develop customs capabilities necessary to support the future of Nike’s product and consumers demands for speed. You will partner with Govt Affairs and Legal to develop effective policy advocacy & dispatch speedy/effective trade defense. You will develop strong relationships for collaboration across Nike’s Value Chain, Product Teams, Research Depts, & Geos to insure Customs is ready to execute against new business models. You will represent Trade & Customs impacts in strategic decisions. You will lead the Global Trade & Customs team in support of Geos and countries compliance. You will support other strategy development and leadership activities as needed.

  • Strategic leadership in the areas of Global Trade & Customs Compliance related to the import and export of products across the globe.
  • Operations’ member of Nike’s Trade Center of Excellence which includes Govt Affairs and Legal to set Nike’s Trade Strategy including Advocacy and Legal defense. Follow through so the consumer wins
  • Lead Global Trade & Customs for Nike, Inc. – collaborating with Geographies & Brands to establish global policy & standards. Provide local consulting & assistance on customs matters
  • Shepherd Nike’s Trusted Trader status, a high level compliance globally, through appropriate risk management
  • Optimize efficiency, delivery cost and speed.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics/supply chain, International Trade or related field, Graduate degree is preferred
  • 10+ years' experience in supply chain management, sourcing, or financial management and governance with a global company
  • Strong background in program governance or program delivery of large supply chain capabilities
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts related to project evaluation, financial forecasting, return on investment, cash flow analysis
  • 3+ years' people management experience
  • Strong understanding of E2E Supply Chain processes & upstream/downstream impacts
  • Direct and virtual team management experience – leading global teams through collaboration and influence
  • Strong relationship-building skills; ability to create trust among those with diverse personal styles
  • Maturity and energy to navigate complex organizational structures
  • Proven senior executive credibility
  • Global/International experience strongly preferred
