With almost 10 years in business, my client is making there way to the shelves of nearly every Big Box retailer in North America. They have an excellent celebrity marketing backing as they advertise quite heavily on billboards, TV, and radio. Their line of products are expanding into new and exciting ideas as well as maintaining their classic, popular, orginial products as their core "best-sellers."

Job Description

* Initiate and track transfers from our manufacturing facilities into our DC network
* Own all meetings, reporting and radiation of information related to inventory state of the state and needs to all vital teams (shortages, coded, adjustments)
* Plan, manage and evaluate inventory operations liaising with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors
* Create and implement best practice inventory principles, policies and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance
* Deliver solutions to inventory problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements
* Manage all inventory related reporting, management and optimization projects including physical and cycle count processes and auditing.
* Monitor and measure financial impact of all inventory changes, issues and day to day management including all claims, chargebacks and additional processes and communication
* Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records are in agreement
* Partner with Sales to reduce excess inventory via sampling opportunities and our discount channel
* Communicate inventory disposal requests to our 4PL partner to remove expired or coded inventory from the DC network
* Interpret trends and analyze and review data. Provide meaningful data to others in the organization to aid in demand planning and cost improvements
* Ensure IT systems in place are effective, maintained and accurate. Make recommendations based on business needs to improve and optimize technology and systems.

* Coach, train and engage teams on inventory processes and the importance of compliance within them
* Set departmental objectives/KPIs
* Hold responsibility for inventory on hand budget
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with all connected with the inventory process
* Support new business initiatives and projects and contribute to review meetings and change process. Ensure effective inventory implementation takes place relating to the changes

The Successful Applicant

* Highly skilled communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally
* Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
* Proven analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Project management skills
* Commercial and financial acumen with a full understanding of the impact of failure in terms of business cost, production schedules and customer order fulfilment
* 3-5 years of experience of working in inventory analyst and replenishment function within the dry goods/snack environment
* Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including knowledge and understanding of specialist systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Bill of Material (BOM) and WMS systems
* Advanced Excel user
* Ability to analyze and manipulate technical and complex data and provide meaningful information
* Membership or certifications from APICS may be an advantage
* Knowledge of lean techniques may be advantageous
