Market Procurement Manager Benelux

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Focus on strategic buying activities, commodity strategy development, and deployment in support of a world leader in healthcare solutions and services. You will define market sourcing strategies that are aligned with global commodity strategies and specific business unit programs and requirements. You will be part of negotiations teams, implementation projects and handle commercial relationships with suppliers.

Based out of Drachten you will be a part of a hardworking group of procurement professionals reporting to the Market Procurement Leader (MPL) who deliver added value by bringing the entire Procurement network to the equation.

You are responsible for

  • Achieving maximum bottom-line impact and performance by actively using the sourcing network, making global commodity strategies locally relevant where needed and ensure successful execution of these strategies.

  • Ensure effective relationship/stakeholder management towards sectors/business/markets. Actively support with supply market & process knowledge and expertise in the area of Indirect Material Spend such as Production Equipment, Test & Measurement equipment, Engineering services or CAPEX.
  • Handle and execute all strategic procurement activities for the assigned supply base.
  • Supporting regular performance reviews with different leadership teams to reflect changing business needs and requirements.
  • Leading the negotiations and the process with suppliers where local solutions are required ensuring the lowest total cost of ownership to supply to the profitability objectives for projects in the market.
  • Providing regular reports to the demand side that brings visibility on value and compliance
  • Optimize the supply base on the basis of total cost of ownership and develop sustainable supplier relationships

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s / Master Degree;
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in Procurement, preferably within the Indirect Material Spend categories such as Production Equipment, Test & Measurement equipment, Engineering services or CAPEX;
  • Experience within or working with a large international company is required;
  • Evaluates supply trends and market developments and aligns supply based strategy with the need of the business;
  • Is closely connected to the business and makes local commodity strategy relevant to customer needs;
  • Experience driving improvements in (TCO) Total Cost of Ownership and ensure the impact on the bottom line;
  • Experience in contract negotiations;
  • Run reporting and results of complex assignment toward business leadership;
  • Strong partner management skills in a matrix environment;
  • An analytical, conceptual thinker, pragmatic, strong interpersonal skills, ambitious spirit, with a focus on getting things done;
  • Clear and effective networker and communicator at different levels in- and outside the company. Leadership qualities to lead project teams;
  • The focus is on the Benelux; travel is about 15%;
  • Strong communication skills.
