About Our Client

With exponential growth in the last 4 years, this Consumer Goods power house is looking for a forecasting savvy Inventory Planner to join their collaborative team. With the feel of a start up and the portfolio of a fortune 500, my client represents products you know and love and are adding to their developing team.

Job Description

  • Ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained by consistently reviewing weeks of supply and in-stock goals
  • Use historical sales data from multiple sources and current trends to project required purchases from suppliers and weekly domestic shipments to customers
  • Analyze identify, and implementing opportunities for improvements to the forecasting process
  • Produce regular analysis based on average daily sales, days on hand, demand and demand forecasting
  • Monitor inventory, spare parts, and spare packaging levels and immediately report low inventory
  • Use various software platforms to analyze and predict future inventory needs
  • Cross-functional relationships with marketing and sales teams to communicate promotional schedule and foreseen inventory needs
  • Implement Demand planning in the ERP system, and create Open to Buy reporting
  • Manage Amazon inventory against the ERP and account for discrepancies

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 3-5 years of Demand Planning or Inventory Planning
  • Experience working with overseas vendors a huge plus!
  • Strong communication skills
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of inventory models
  • Ability to work or in a team environment
  • Thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
