Senior Supervisor, Warehouse Kitting (iNeST)

Main Purpose of the Position:

This position is part of Genentech’s’ Pharma Technical - individualized NeoAntigen Specific Therapy (iNeST) team based in Hillsboro, Oregon.  iNeST is a next generation immunotherapy for the treatment of patients with cancer on a per patient basis. In this critical role, you will be part of a dedicated cross-functional team working on production start-up activities such as the design, installation, testing, and validation of manufacturing equipment, processes, and the quality approach for this exciting and novel technology.

In this role you will supervise the tactical execution of material kitting and routine Warehouse responsibilities. Provide leadership and technical oversight to staff members. Work with department manager to develop and sustain a high performance team. Using Lean Production System, advanced analytical skills, experience, and systems and process knowledge, anticipate challenges and vulnerabilities in processes or systems and act as a resource to identify and deploy solutions. Ensure success of Warehouse operations by collaborating with the site and network.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily activities within the Warehouse kitting functions (pick, wipe down, and issue) to support manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure sufficient resources are in place to meet demand, and perform Warehouse functionality.
  • Ensure a culture of safety is maintained throughout the department.
  • Ensure cGMP compliant and lawful execution of all responsibilities.
  • Represent the department on audits, issues, and initiatives as required.
  • Assist in the development of, and adherence to the department budget.
  • Provide significant input to the evaluation of individual contributor performance and the building and sustaining of a high performance team.
  • Proactively working with department manager and the team build and sustain a Great Place to Work.
  • Perform or provide oversight to department related project activity that may include investigating, analyzing, formulating possible solutions, documenting processes, and communicating results.
  • Support operations by interfacing with systems such as EDMS, Discrepancy Management, and Change Control to revise processes, manage discrepancies, and manage change records.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • BA or BS with concentration in Life or Physical sciences preferred.
  • 5+ years of industry experience with a minimum of 3 years of relevant GMP Warehousing/Distribution experience, and a minimum of 3 years of progressively increasing leadership responsibility.
  • In-depth working knowledge of inventory management principles and distribution and cold-chain practices.
  • DOT, IATA, international shipment expertise.
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated history of exceptional people development skills.
  • Extensive experience with integrated inventory management databases such as SAP.
  • Ability to work in a highly cooperative, Class A, team environment.
