Description
As a Sr. Sourcing Analyst on the North American Transportation Team, you will have an exceptional opportunity to leverage your analytical capabilities, negotiation talent, effective communication skills and project management expertise to challenge the status quo and enable transportation excellence for the Nike logistics network. You will identify and effectively collaborate with stakeholders across Memphis’ DC Network and broader Nike Supply Chain. You will work closely with the full spectrum of Nike carriers (TL, LTL, parcel, intermodal, air freight, final mile delivery agents), DC operations, IT, retail operations and direct to consumer functional leaders for ad-hoc analysis, tools development and process improvement projects related to transportation. Enable effective and insightful analyses that facilitate a fact-based transportation/carrier sourcing and decision-making process. You will be tasked to Analyze current and future market trends and competitors to understand transportation and supply chain industry and adapt plan to achieve competitive advantage

Your main responsibilities will include conducting request for proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and internal customer business requirements to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, and legal requirements. You will work with Global Procurement on any joint opportunities as they arise.

You'll work with logistics service providers to: collect and analyze data to produce performance scorecards for contractual deliverables, measure internal operation performance, identify trends and issues, and recommend alternatives and process improvements. You will develop and maintain necessary processes (SOP’s) and service level agreements (SLA’s) to support continuous improvement within existing operations, and to accommodate new and existing business opportunities.




Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years working with transportation carriers, analyzing mode specific bids, quantifying savings/ overages and providing negotiation options.
  • Demonstrated knowledge/understanding of transportation/logistics management, distribution, retail/wholesale operations, and accounting principles. 
  • Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative/qualitative analyses with specific recommendations.
  • Contract negotiations with all modes of transportation 
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Excellent project management, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience developing analytics/reporting solutions using coding such as VBA & SQL.
  • Experience using business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Cognos.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems such as Transplace, Oracle Transportation Management.
  • Ability to understand and learn new critical thinking and business intelligence tools.
  • Ability to influence the organization and work cross functionally to achieve results.
  • Domestic travel on occasion but limited.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Access & PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with data blending tools such as Alteryx.
  • Experience with EDI Integration
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt/Blackbelt and understanding of Lean processes.
  • PMP Certification
