The client specializes in deep draw technologies, supplying deep drawn enclosures and shallow drawn metal parts

Job Description

Skills Requirements:

  • Communicates with thoroughness, tact and technical knowledge.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Experience with high performance teams and be a strong team player.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office, ERP systems and Crystal Reporting).
  • MRP/ERP systems (at least one full system implementation)
  • Hardware / software
  • MPS, RCCP, CP, Product structures, Nomenclatures
  • Planning practices; including eoq, stock, op/oq, kanban,
  • Inventory management;
  • Investment levels, turns, obsolescence
  • Storage, flow, handling, packaging materials

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Business planning
  • Strategic planning
  • Budgeting
  • Formulation and accomplishment to KPI
  • Purchasing management experience
  • Negotiation of business contracts, LTAs,
  • Develop T & Cs, quality requirements,
  • Supplier performance, selection, audit, quality, fit
  • Logistics
  • Traffic (domestic and international)
  • Negotiating freight terms, discounts, risk mitigation
  • Supervisory and management experience in planning and purchasing
  • Hire/fire experience (professionals and hourly)
  • Assessments, reviews, mentoring
  • Employee relations , labor relations
  • Creating budgets, plans and executing with income statement accountability
  • Material costs
  • Outside service costs
  • Packaging costs
  • Freight costs
  • Inventory costs
  • Business systems experience
  • ISO 9001/ISO 13485
  • Six Sigma
  • Project management (Microsoft Project at minimum)
  • New Product Introductions
  • Industry specific / commodity specific knowledge
  • Raw materials (steels, alloys)
  • MRO
  • Outside services (annealing, plating, painting, coating, NDI, welding, etc)

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a technical field, 5-10 years of business-to-business with manufacturing (metal working) preferred environment knowledge and experience
  • Strong analytical skills - able to conceptualize trends, participate in a dynamic team, and develop solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal interaction and strong listening skills
  • Ability to initiate, monitor and manage multiple projects
