Our client is a Consumer Electronics company in Santa Monica that focuses on Beauty. Their proprietary technology has allowed this company to rise to the top product in their class!

Job Description

  • Partner with sales team to manage international item forecasts for customers in the UK, Middle East, EU and China
  • Communicate with contract manufacturers in Asia to ensure all production orders are on track
  • Prepare weekly inventory status report and send out update to cross functional stakeholders
  • Review order loading plans with suppliers to ensure container fill optimization on ocean shipments while maintaining weeks-of-supply targets
  • Collect and report supplier performance and forecast accuracy metrics
  • Recommend purchase orders based on net requirements for review by management
  • Analyze point of sale data vs customer forecasts and shipments focusing on key customers
  • Own regular meetings with major retailers to review point of sale data, inventory levels and forecasts
  • Lead monthly Slow-Moving Inventory (SMI) process including data preparation and meeting agenda
  • Generate monthly marketing report showing latest forecast vs. budget and prior year historicals
  • Manage data creation and validation in NetSuite and Cloud Smoothie databases, allowing for more efficient access to data and report generation/query
  • Create new sku-customer combinations in the system to facilitate forecasting of new product launches
  • Ensure all product costs are updated in NetSuite and corresponding purchase orders
  • Execute ad hoc forecast change requests and reporting requests

The Successful Applicant

  • Consumer Product Industry experience preferred
  • 1-3 years of work experience in an inventory-based demand or supply planning environment preferred
  • Strong analytical skills are necessary; must be a critical thinker
  • Strong understanding of statistics and how they can influence business decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Robust skill set with MS Excel (Pivot Tables, SUM IFS, V-Lookups)
  • Comfortable building and running reports and summarizing findings
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships
  • Proficiency in NetSuite or other ERP systems preferred
  • Familiarity with supply/demand planning software preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in business with focus in Supply Chain Management preferred.
  • Must be self-motivated with a passion for supply chain and achieving results
