In this role, you have the opportunity to

Use your skills and experience in a challenging environment in order to shape our global supply chain organization in the field of Operational Material Management. Philips Operational Material Management is a high paced, dynamic organization that is responsible for getting the right parts to the right place at the right time. In this role, you will manage availability of material through the proper material Master Data setup, capacity planning and purchase order management with internal and external suppliers, and mitigation of supply risks and issues.

You are a part of

Global Operational Material Management team, working closely with various team in Philips globally such as commodity management leadership, manufacturing leadership, OMM leadership, supply chain engineering etc.

Your Responsibilities

  • Executes SCM master data setup and maintenance
  • Executes Product Life Cycle management
  • Create and align buy-item stock / replenishment policy  
  • Monitor item changes and secure planning in SAP
  • Drive and implement supplier managed  and owned inventories
  • Global inventory analysis and planning Forecast
  • Manages forecast with suppliers, including validation, supplier S&OP meeting / n-tier supply availability check and follow-up
  • Participates in Business Review Meetings with key suppliers and provides inputs to Logistics Purchase Agreements
  • Align and balance material planning with production planning
  • Executes the business plan related to the operational procurement of material for production and sample parts for NPI (new product introduction) support.
  • Active role to adhere to and improve our company QMS (Quality Management System).
  • Coaches, manages and supervises a group of supply planners in terms of costs, methods and staffing.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Master or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  • Proven track record in tactical / operational material management and/or commodity management
  • Cross-functional experience in related functions 
  • Global Project Management experience 
  •  Logistics education (e.g. Certified APICS professional)
  • 7 + years of relevant experience: Purchasing, Supply Chain.
  • Excellent organizational, process and managerial skills
  • Performer: fully committed to achieve agreed goals and results
  • Proven Team leadership capabilities
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
