We welcome you to join Philips (IGT) as an Master Data- Supply Chain- Subject Mater Expert (SME)  in Colorado Springs, CO location

Your Role

In this role you will be the subject matter expert (SME) in End to End (E2E) Supply Chain Master Data including Traceability; encompassing New Product Introduction; Product Model (MTO/ MTS models); E2E Supply Chain, Service; End of Life of within Philips Image Guided Therapy (IGT) business group. 

In this role, you have the opportunity to

  • Lead and manage integration process transition in assigned integration work streams.   
  • This will involve becoming the Subject Matter Expert in the work stream; teaching and coaching the deployment groups; gap assessment; interface with IT and Data groups on key process attributes and the Data Model; documenting changes; procedures and user training.
  • Work stream: Master Data Parameters; Enrichment; Product Lifecycle Management
  • E2E Critical master data parameters and enrichment processes
  • New Product Introduction
  • Product Data Model, Choices, Supply Chain Process Implications of different data models
  • Data Traceability
  • Service and Spare Parts Lifecycle and Master Data
  • Deliver and measure impactful process improvements.
  • Lead in using process improvement methodologies (Lean, Hoshin &/or 6 sigma).

Your Responsibilities

  • Topic Area Subject Matter Expert for Critical Master Data parameters and the impacts of the data model and data parameters set up through the supply chain and through the product lifecycle; fully ; engaged in process definition and implementation programs and projects. 
  • New Product Introduction projects you will advise on product set up parameters to translate the product needs to the E2E application set up.  
    • You will contribute to decisions on product model set up and coach on resulting processes (Make to Order versus Make to Stock Supply Chain processes.)
  • You will be involved to understand, coach, provide expertise on End to End traceability processes; and assist in reporting if a traceability report/ recall is required.
  • You will be involved to understand, coach, provide expertise on the Installed Base data and enrichment processes.
  • Be a change agent by clarifying to the deployment teams and management the impact of the new ways of working.  These may include impacts from Reporting processes; Data Maintenance and Quality processes; Data enrichment processes; IT applications.
  • Maintain Operational Excellence methodology and tools on one or more specific areas:
  • You will provide expertise in processes analysis (L3-L7) (Levels) in Reporting and Master Data Process topic areas assigned to perform and communicate process gap analyses, propose best practices as input for the process design.
  • Highly engage in SME communities in assigned domains. 
    • Represent BU/Market/ Customer reporting and data requirements in these communities.  Share best practices from Key User communities with business/market stakeholder communities. 
  • Ensure kaizen events - six sigma projects are properly planned / executed / sustained when needed in topic areas assigned
  • Assess the organization in determining Operational Excellence maturity:  
  • collaborate with Philips Business Process Expert (BPE) during design of Philips Excellence Process Framework (PEPF) processes (L3 – L7) for Master Data and Reporting topics; and ensure alignment with the underpinning IT applications with a focus on relevant process performance metrics & KPI’s and compliance requirements and controls.
  • Collaborate with IT and Enterprise information management ( EIM) to ensure that IT applications and data models support the business process requirements and design. Coach user community especially on data models and reports to ensure user community understands and correctly implements data models and reports.
  • With business key users, design business test processes that check data models, data quality, report design, report usability and speed.
  • SME will prepare adaptive Change Requests with key user groups. 
  • SME will coach key user groups on standard processes and help them design and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Supports the business in resolving issues, as a way to improve Quality, Delivery, Cost and Inventory within assigned topic areas:
  • SME establishes an accurate process performance impact tracking & reporting, with reference to internal/external benchmarks and relevant targets. As part of local continuous improvement programs actively share knowledge and help problem solve with systemic issues driving impact. 
  • Use lean and 6S tools, the Continuous Improvement (CI) methodology, Kaizen events and Problem Solving

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Solid data management or information (technology) management or analytics experience and competence.
  • Bachelor’s degree with > 5 years, or a Master’s degree with <3 years of exposure to data management; data use and analytics and Performance Reporting in business context.
  • Experience on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise;
  • Good leadership skills; influencing others
  • Challenges solutions and unrewarded complexity
  • Thought leadership on best practices/ standards in the business; Advance processes that meet agility; speed requirements and support achieving Philips vision.
  • Ability to design supporting processes for the target vision
  • Conceptual thinking and analytics
  • Experience in leading process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Hoshin or 6-sigma).
  • Experience managing teams in a virtual work environment.
