Job Description

Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, including compliance with dress code requirements.
  • Assist in general clean up of Distribution Center as required.
  • Perform assigned tasks in support of Distribution Center operations.
  • Accurately complete order and inventory management documentation as required by company procedures.
  • General product assembly and production functions within the Distribution Center.
  • All tasks assigned must meet established quality standards for the function and department, including the product.
  • Maintain effective communications with all departments needed to ensure an efficient workflow process within the Distribution Center.
  • Other duties as required to contribute to the overall objectives of the Distribution Center.

Imprinting and Coating

  • Manage Corporate Markets inventory with emphasis on accuracy within the company's requirements. Resolve inventory problems with appropriate manager or supervisor.
  • Responsible for imprinting various products, utilizing pad printing and hot stamping machines; together with setting up of machines, mixing of inks, cleaning of plates and maintenance of printing presses, while maintaining established quality standards.
  • Responsible for the coating of knife scales, set-up of coating machine and quality control throughout the coating process.
  • Print and sort Corporate Markets work orders on a daily basis, checking for accuracy of parts and applicable information, correcting work orders if required, in conjunction with Customer Service.
  • Responsible for the receiving of work orders, including necessary quantity adjustments of parts utilized, to ensure proper inventory deduction of parts, and addition of finished goods.
  • Act as liaison between the company and outside vendors, fielding inquiries, checking order status and tracking product upon delivery, to assure timely and accurate shipping.
  • Coordinate art and work order requirements with the Art Department when required.

Receiving, Returns and Repairs

  • Perform the task of receiving materials, returns and knife repairs, with emphasis on quality control and timeliness of turnaround.
  • Create labels as required in accordance with customer's compliance requirements.
  • Utilize and maintain label systems and equipment to full and efficient functionality.
  • Oversee inspection of returns to determine proper categorization, which includes either first quality restock, second quality or damaged product.

Materials Handling and Replenishment

  • Execute the flow of work orders, scheduling jobs for packaging vendors, with emphasis on compliance, quality and time targets.
  • Coordinate the distribution of work orders to external packaging vendors, managing in conjunction with the Senior Supervisor, the delivery and return of goods within the established time frame and compliance parameters.
  • Execute inventory functions, including cycle counts, to ensure inventory integrity.
  • Research and reconcile transaction errors in accordance with company procedures.

Pick, Pack, Manifest and Ship

  • Pick, pack and manifest for all product lines, stressing the importance of correct order fulfillment and compliance to all instructions on the order.
  • Assure efficient and timely loading of packages to all delivery services and truckers.

Quality Control

  • Inspect all incoming shipments, following established quantitative sampling, to ensure adherence to company's standards of quality.

Production

  • Perform all functions related to light assembly, manual and machine packaging of product to ensure adherence to company's standards of quality.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications include:

  • Ability to read, write and understand English.
  • Basic mathematical skills; add, subtract multiply and divide.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and slide 50 - 75 lbs.
  • Ability to work as a team member and contribute to the entire production effort.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work overtime as required by management.
  • High level of manual dexterity necessary.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized and be quality conscious.

Preferred:

  • Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Fork Lift License.
