I am looking for a Supply Chain Manager for our client who is a top 5 privately held CPG business in Chicago which has continued to show strong financials year after year. This role is a critical role for the Supply Chain function, managing one of their highest performing teams in the business. This person will be responsible for overseeing the inventory planning and stock management of finished goods inventory.

Description

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing inventory levels across the North American business. The Supply Chain Manager will need to be highly analytical and have the ability to plan and maintain data within the ERP system. Additional responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Coordinate with supply base to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained
• Perform analysis to address inventory variances and initiate corrective actions
• Resolve issues with on-time delivery, stock levels and excess inventory
• Drive process improvements and implement best practices internally and externally
• Manage inventory reconciliation and SKU reconciliation
• Proactively control expenses, including staffing, supplies, vehicle maintenance and services
• Manage a team and ensure they exceed KPIs
• Accountable for developing inventory/safety stock strategies
• Lead the team as it executes the daily order management process, meeting department targets, and resolving problems.
• Work closely with key cross-functional partners (Sales, Distribution, Supply Chain Planning, Finance), managing these relationships to ensure effective and efficient customer service processes and order fulfilment.

• Possess a bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
• 5+ years experience within Supply Chain

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience leading or mentoring others
• Experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Production Planning and/or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes
• Analytical skills, technical aptitude and knowledge of analytical tools (Excel, Minitab, etc.)
• SQL experience a plus
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and self-motivational skills
• Experience working on cross-functional and international teams
