Job Description

  • Collaborate with sales, product management, marketing, and finance to understand marketing programs, new product introductions, pricing changes, promotions and events to meet customer demand for assigned accounts.
  • Lead weekly and/or monthly consensus process based on information gathered to develop a forecast to meet supply chain service, inventory goals, and create the monthly financial forecast.
  • Track weekly and monthly forecast error to identify contributing factors and adjust the necessary item levels.
  • Perform total item mix analysis and provide insights to lead volume discussions.
  • Provide forecast insight into budget plans that utilize historical run rates, product strategy, market trends, channel and geo strategy as well as overall company goals.
  • Work with Purchasing to maximize in-stock rates to defined KPIs that will translate into minimal monthly lost revenue goals while closely monitor aging products, communicating with buyer team to prevent over-stock.
  • Become the account volume expert through understanding consumption and shipment trends in addition to category and industry dynamics.
  • Generate monthly Clearance List to send to product team to develop promotions and finalize strategy to send to weekly/monthly Marketing activity.
  • Issue weekly/monthly replenishment stock balancing between all warehouses in JE System
  • Partner with product management & purchasing teammates to understand supply chain implications of forecast changes.
  • Perform maintenance in Just Enough (demand planning software used by purchasing) to eliminate exception errors and increase forecast accuracy.
  • Develop overall global demand planning process that captures requirements from all sales channels (, B2B, Marketplaces, Amazon) as well as regions (US, CAN, EU, JP, other).
  • Analyze sell thru data and forecasts to make recommendations in weekly sales/marketplace meeting, making prompt forecast adjustment by combining b2b orders, planned promotion info and inbound shipments.
  • Monitor/adjust additional safety stock measures.
  • Work with Finance to continually update grading of existing and new SKUs to help in prioritization of forecasting and supply chain focus.
  • Do weekly/monthly Out-of-Stock analysis to capture Hot Shipments and provide recommendations on how to reduce lost revenue.
  • Timely updates to management regarding sales forecast details.
  • Share best practices amongst planning and purchasing team.
  • Mentor and coach team members to ensure constant growth in experience and skill set.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of 5 years planning experience
  • Experience managing thousands of hardware SKUs is a must, direct experience in IT / Electronic hardware preferred
  • Forecasting and replenishment software experience: Tableau experience is a plus
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required with a particularly strong set of Excel skills to consolidate data, create reporting, identify trends, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to communicate results to draw concrete decisions based on data that is presented
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast paced environment. Able to work under pressure and effectively manage stress.
  • Experience in forecasting imported products and understanding basic overseas purchasing process are a plus.
  • Goal oriented, ambitious, motivated while being very detailed focused.
