In this role, you have the opportunity to

Manage all activities of our Materials & Logistics team to support their productivity, quality, over time, inter-department relations, staffing, and performance.

You are responsible for

  • Managing all activities of the Materials & Logistics staff including: productivity, quality, over time, inter-department relations, staffing, and performance.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate performance reporting and reviews. Participates in developing quality measurement guidelines and minimum requirements for staff training.
  • Managing our facility and ensuring infrastructure maintenance and corrective actions are provided to support sustained operations.
  • Engaging in construction and warehouse planning to support business growth.
  • Managing inventory process controls and operational compliance in storage of materials.
  • Management and coordination with Philips entities for return materials and support.
  • Coordinating department responses to customer or department issues. Works with other departments, as necessary, to provide quick and accurate response.
  • Our Manage Shared tools program and operations including new tool growth, tool enhancements, and field support.
  • Your team’s quality of work, process adherence, escalations, coaching/mentoring, disciplinary action, staff development, goal formulation and performance review.
  • Managing reclamation of materials and maximize optimal revenue while driving Philips circular economy initiatives.
  • Managing equipment transaction support including deinstallation, transportation, and administrative oversight.
  • Effectively control expenses through economical utilization of materials and equipment.
  • Managing transactional operations for outside repairs; including technical coordination, quoting, RMA, and transportation of materials.
  • Participate in inventory planning meetings to ensure proper levels of inventory are achieved based on market data and inventory plans implemented per modality/model/part to define min, max, and par levels for inventory stock.
  • Identifying and exploiting opportunities to reduce the cost and improve the quality of transportation and packaging of materials.
  • Ensuring the parts warehouse and shipping & receiving areas are kept clean, organized, and clutter free and that all the equipment is properly maintained.
  • Collaborating with Q&R to sustain a quality-centric mindset to ensure compliance with all applicable FDA, ISO, and other regulations, as well as all APM/Philips documented policies & procedures.
  • Ensuring that daily valid ESD wristbands & monitoring devices are within compliance and maintained.
  • Ensuring all parts are handled with ESD compliance per training.
  • Ensuring that "instadose" meter is worn at all times around radiation emitting devices and that monthly readings are taken.

You are a part of

Our All Parts and Multi-Vendor team that services our parts and Field Service teams to ship a high volume of parts each month and manage our Shared Tools revolving equipment program.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent related work experience
  • 5 + years of related experience in service operations, warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving
  • 5 + years Supervisory/ Managerial experience
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple assignments.
  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize company provided software for the management of materials within manufacturing facility
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to follow established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, frequently reach above your shoulders, and a majority of the time be gripping, doing repetitive movements and standing, walking, pushing or pulling.
