In this role, you have the opportunity to

Create strategic impact by initiating, organizing and implementing of Procurement strategies, programs and transformations

You are responsible for

  • Develop and drive procurement strategies in the Business in line with Commodity and Business Procurement strategies.
  • Create business cases for productivity improvements, ensure full cross-functional buy in and embracement.
  • Ensure proper funding and staffing of procurement projects to meet the productivity funnel.
  • Capture supplier innovation in product and business creation to optimize propositions and achieve the best value for Philips and its customers
  • Ensures that the Procurement related risks (cost, quality, availability) are controlled and mitigated
  • Support and engage with Product Sourcing Engineer to ensure and support early product development as a member of Represent Procurement in early product development Ensures that optimized TCO (cost, quality, availability) are assured in product and business creation and through their full life cycle, utilizing DFX. 
  • Support price negotiations with opportunities to drive short and long term cost reduction improvement
  • Represent Procurement for project or supplier related activities, ensuring relevant cross-functional stakeholders are informed and involved.
  • Support the Product Sourcing Engineers on the deployment of early supplier involvement and target costing and tracking for assigned product.
  • Project management of activities at supplier, including management of related fields in the Sourcing Plan, in alignment with overall project plan. In HS this includes project management of supplier industrialization activities.
  • Support CM Strategy & Supplier Management - Supports commodity strategy and execution in close relation with the Commodity Teams
  • Provides input regarding business requirements - Accountable for the phase in/out ramp up/down process and related supplier communication
  • Engage in and support phase in – phase Out (PIPO) planning related to new product introduction

You are a part of

The Procurement organization supporting the Sleep and Respiratory Care business.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant an industrial, technical, operational, or business discipline; Masters degree preferred
  • 6+ years proven track record in Procurement Management or Supply Chain related profession
  • Experience creating business cases to drive improvements in productivity and performance
  • Participation in kaizen events and deployment of own process improvement ideas.
  • Coordinating all relevant X- functional stakeholders around assigned product portfolio
  • Has applied change management knowledge ensuring procurement set up new style for assigned business
  • Experience translating business needs into procurement solutions for the assigned business
