Job Description

  • Create daily, weekly and monthly build schedules for the production lines
  • Establishes the Master Planning Schedule working closely with Sales, Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, Logistics and other operating departments. Coordinate manufacturing plans that achieve Company objectives relative to customer service, sales, efficient resource/capacity, and inventory control.

  • Monitor actual output versus the Master Production Plan. Identify gaps and drive solutions, including a metric on production performance to the requested production schedule.

  • Assesses impacts to materials availability and production schedule from customer sales opportunities that may be affecting demand for product over and above the plan.

  • Based on factors such as raw material availability, production line capacity, standard lead time commitments, on time delivery, and emergent needs of the business both from a sales operations and production operations perspective, be the direct interface for the Sales, Inventory, Operations, and Production forecast inputs and the output of a production operations schedule.

  • Help resolve and countermeasure line-down situations

  • Working with production, address issues which affect quality, inventory, cost and delivery requirements/performance.

  • Isolate and drive the resolution of work order quantity variances and material remnants.

  • Monitors daily order entry reports and communicates scheduling problems and concerns to Management.

  • Works with Sales, Purchasing and Operations teams to develop and manage forecasts for material planning considering current inventory, obsolescence, lead times, seasonality, new/discontinued items, account promotions, product shelf life and production capacity.

The Successful Applicant

  • Food industry experience a MUST
  • 5 years of experience in related field
  • Proficient with ERP systems
  • 2 to 5 years of procurement, production raw materials planning, or analyst experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1 to 3 years of advance planning (finished goods / final product) experience.
