Our client is a very successful consumer goods company based in the West Hills / Canoga Park area in Los Angeles. They are looking to add a Senior / Demand Planner to the team. This position reports in the VP of Supply Chain.

Description

• Oversee the forecasting and planning activities
• Develop effective forecast models based on demand patterns and financial goals of the company
• Plan inventory needs, based on forecast provided by sales
• Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy
• Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management
• Gather, analyze and validate data
• Collaborate with Marketing / Sales team members to collect necessary information on SKU-level promotions, events, social strategy, advertising exposure, retail plans, etc.

• Bachelor's required; MBA is preferred.
• 5+ years in Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Control, Demand Planning or Data Analysis required.
• Over 1500 SKUs so client needs someone with experience with that amount of SKUs
• Experience presenting regularly to upper management
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with a sense of urgency while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
• In-depth knowledge of advanced mathematical and forecasting policies.
• Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of enthusiasm, professionalism and motivation.
