Your challenge
Within Philips Healthcare there are  two warehouse distribution center  responsible for producing and shipping Healthcare product and Medical Devices . One of these locations is located in Moreno Valley , California and the other in Lockbourne , Ohio and from there  shipping takes place to customers all over US and the globe. As a final step in the production process, there are several requirements for preparing the shipment such as creating various types of documentation. This role is responsible for the seamless execution of that process in the receiving, shipping and Inventory control point of Moreno Valley and Columbus.

Your responsibilities:

  • Managing and coordinate receiving, shipping and inventory control with the 3PL team
  • Act as a first point of contact for escalations related to receiving, shipping and inventory control management for both warehouses.
  • Align and collaborate with the Philips Control tower as well as with logistic service providers
  • Manage project improvements  for the team

    You are part of the Philips Healthcare. Systems logistics group in NAM,. You will report into the team-lead of  NAM Philips Healthcare operations.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or related discipline (Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management) with 5+ years of related experience
  • Experience in a supervisor/manager role with multiple direct reports (people management skills and leadership skills).
  • Experience/competence in regard to WH management principles (systems, requirements, processes)
  • Experience/competence with regard to understanding, managing and meeting compliance requirements (quality-systems, import/export, DG, Supply Chain Security, etc.)
  • Experience/competence with regard to successful completion of internal and external audits
  • Experience/competence in departmental budgeting and managing expenses to target.
  • Experience/competence in developing and implementing cost-savings projects and initiatives, including productivity-improvement focused programs.
  • Experience/competence with Project Management, including cross-functional project management.
  • PC-application skills 
  • SAP experience
  • Metric/KPI management experience
  • Lean experience
  • Negotiation experience
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
