- Direct the activities of all functions involved in the purchasing, planning, warehousing and control of materials from the receipt of forecasting replenishment needs to the delivery of the finished product into finished goods inventory and delivery of products to customers.

- Facilitate all key supplier Global Agreement as the company representative in negotiations and contract approvals, in order to implement performance-based, preferred supplier agreements- Manage inventory and establish controls to ensure the business is operating at the highest level of performance based on key performance metrics and minimized supply chain risk.
- Works cross-functionally with engineering, segment leaders, project managers, manufacturing and quality engineers as well as procurement, and finance.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement.
- Develop and continuously improve supplier programs.
- Regularly evaluate cost and quality performance benchmarks, and the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection.
- Develop, communicate, and implement procurement policies and procedures for purchasing and contract management to ensure they are processed accurately and timely.
- Lead negotiation efforts for major contracts.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets accordingly.
- Assess current material availability, and forecast future availability based on the market, delivery systems, and other variables.
- Establishes annual goals and objectives in coordination with corporate objectives, and manages performance to ensure attainment.

The Successful Applicant

- BS Degree with Masters or MBA preferred. - 10-15 years progressive experience in purchasing and materials management roles.
- 5-10 years of direct management experience in a Chemical manufacturing environment.
- Must be a strategic thinker with confidence and speed in execution.
- Proven leadership skills in building and managing large teams - Excellent analytical and negotiation skills are required.
