You are responsible for

As the Senior Procurement Program Manager, you will be responsible for the End2End managing of a project to develop a product, technology, system, solutions, services or IT solution from the initial start until the introduction in the Market or until internal company delivery.

  • Extensive experience building products and product assemblies with suppliers
  • Knowledge working in a regulated Medical products company a plus
  • Drive concept and sourcing savings opportunities in new and legacy products
  • Work collaboratively with other functions, R&D, Supplier quality, regulatory and marketing
  • Drive DfX activities internally and at suppliers
  • Represent procurement at functional level project meetings
  • Manage request for quotes (RfQ) process based on the Forward Procurement List (FPL)
  • Supports cross functionally in the Supplier Selection Process for sustaining and new products
  • Ensures that the supplier related risks (cost, quality, availability) are controlled and mitigated
  • Supports the Supplier Quality Manager in new supplier component release process
  • Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Plan (APQP), including compliance and sustainability aspects
  • Coordinates inputs and decision for make or buy analysis outcome
  • Execute and support phase in – phase Out (PIPO) planning related to new product introduction
  • Identify strategic cost reduction by significant contribution to design decisions with product roadmaps in perspective
  • Support the negotiation teams with conceptual and fact-based information and opportunities to drive significant structural cost reduction improvement
  • Drive the deployment of cost-reduction workshops
  • Develop and deploy common approaches to target costing and tracking for the assigned product/category
  • Lead the development of an effective set of cost models to track “target cost” status for assigned product/category, support deployment of cost awareness to design engineers
  • Work on CAPA teams to resolve supplier related issues

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desired
  • 10+ years industry experience in procurement of electro-mechanical systems/products/solutions for the medical industry, experience in, sourcing/supplier/commodity management preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes for commodities such as printed circuit board assemblies, power supplies, cables, custom battery packs, mechanical parts (plastics, machined, sheet metal) and cables
  • Ability to think analytically and work independently, anticipates changing business, project and supplier needs
  • Motivated, self-driven with a determination to succeed and the ability to manage change
  • Analytical, you are open to new ideas and believe in continuous learning in order to develop new competencies
