In this role, you have the opportunity to:

Determines the policy for the logistics department of the Business Unit. Manages an integral logistics department via a large number of department managers.  Formulates the long-term logistics policy, taking into account all the relevant factors for integrated management Initiates changes to logistics management concepts  in accordance with the requirements of the business leading to improvements across the entire supply chain.

You are responsible for:

  • Defines Warehouse strategy and Platforming in line with IWD, ISC, Markets & BGs Overall Strategies
  • Challenges & reviews Warehouse design to optimize costs, cycle times and on time shipping performance
  • Delivers optimal warehouse visibility through Tools, Systems and Processes
  • Defines the partners strategy
  • Overall Responsible for Warehouse performance
  • Leverages best practices accross the different Regions & Warehouses
  • Is active support to foment ideas with Continuous improvements  and Transformation initiatives
  • Applies lean methodologies to simplify & harmonize/standardize transport processes
  • Ensures overall warehouse costs fit into yearly budget
  • Organizes Global Kaizen events to boost performance & reduce costs
  • Investigates new warehouse technologies & capabilities
  • Analyzes Global warehousing patterns and tariffs to determine savings opportunities
  • Point of escalation for warehouse issues in case it cannot be dealt by Operations Directors
  • Ensures regular communication around Warehouse performance & developments (new partnership, ideas, results…)
  • Develop strong partnerships with senior leaders from various cross-functional teams to ensure continuous alignment with business objectives

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Business Economics (SCM preferred)   
  • 10+ years relevant work experience
  • Experience in multiple areas of Supply Chain
  • Experience in Warehouse Management at Global level
  • Experience in influencing and driving change within Supply functions
  • Lean, Six Sigma or Supply Chain and Operations management Certification are a plus
