In this role, you have the opportunity to

Drives understanding and optimization of all 3rd party spend for the business. This encompasses IMS (indirect) spend via our Spend Management program, Market spend and BoM (Bill of Material) spend. Procurement BP represents Procurement in the Business, has in-depth understanding of the business strategy, product portfolio, and is responsible for driving the buy-in, approval, and funding of projects to improve BoM productivity, quality, or operational elements.

You are responsible for

  • Develops procurement strategies in the Business in line with Category and Business Procurement strategies. (BoM: develop BPSD aligned with CSD)

  • Establishes a collaborative culture related to Procurement (all 3rd party spend in IMS, BoM and Markets) exemplified by openness, trust, shared action, and an emphasis on mutual long-term benefits to become an Influential and valued Business Partner

  • Is the single point of contact for assigned businesses & markets on all Procurement related topics & (cost) category strategies

  • Ensures that B/M/F objectives and requirements are well understood by all relevant Procurement functions to co-create and improve the (cost) category strategies and programs

  • Gains stakeholder insights about Business objectives, strategies, requirements and priorities by deep listening and understanding

  • Leverages and interlinks best practices, (cost) category and B/M/F insights with the situational dossier to constantly challenge status quo and bring compelling solutions to the table which matter to stakeholder priorities

  • Program manage implementation and localization of Spend Management policies incl. training and acceptance management

  • Orchestrates and drives stakeholder related performance cycle incl. escalations across all Procurement activities to meet stakeholder objectives and deliver on agreed plans

  • Program manages execution of stakeholder related Funnel measures (QxP) and co-creates a future funnel of opportunities (in BoM: in close collaboration with the relative Product Sourcing Engineer)

  • Is responsible for crisis management in case of business critical Supply Base/Supplier/Governance related issues

You are part of

The Hospital Respiratory Care team, reporting into the Procurement Business Leader of Sleep & Respiratory Care.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree; Masters preferred and relevant training in SPM and Supply chain preferred

  • At least 8 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or in related Stakeholder function

  • Experience working in a global business

  • Strong leadership experience of greater than 5 years preferred, with strong presence and problem solving skills

  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
